With a title like that, you’re probably thinking I was heading west in a canvas-topped wagon being pulled by some sturdy horses, but surprise, surprise…I was headed east with my mother in my trusty hybrid Rav-4, which boasts fantastic gas mileage and air conditioning. If I learned one thing on our journey through the midwestern desert, it was that air conditioning is a must during the summer months – and it was only mid-June.If you look at the map, you can see we trekked through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, and back home again – ended up being a little over 2800 miles in 6 days.
